Serial Writers’ Days

Writing for series has never been as exciting as today: new formats, new platforms, and new funding opportunities pave the way for inspiring new projects. In this setting, seven European Film Schools provide a new generation of serial storytellers with a unique skillset focusing on collaborative writing. While there is no tradition of writers’ rooms in European drama series, new forms of collaborative development are slowly emerging. What does this mean for the series market? How can we combine the best of both traditional and collaborative approaches? To discuss these questions openly, the SERIAL WRITER’S DAYS were created: a platform for behind-closed doors discussions, for networking and masterclasses (e.g. with Jeppe Gjervig Gram (BORGEN) and Anna & Jörg Winger (DEUTSCHLAND 83)).
The event features writers from Den Danske Filmskolen, Den Norske Filmskole, La Fémis, Filmakademie Baden-Württemberg, Filmuniversität Babelsberg, dffb, the ifs, as well as select industry professionals.
