The Fosters

TV-Series | USA 2013 | 1 x 43' | German

The parents: two women. The kids: one biological son, one adopted pair of twins, and a foster daughter. The Fosters are a more than unconventional family, with divorced cop Stef and her new partner Lena trying to create a new life for themselves and their bunch of children. Given the unusual structure of their family full of very different characters, this is hard to accomplish. First and foremost it is Callie, taken in most recently by the Fosters, who causes turbulence – especially as she learns that her dad is not her biological father. Stef’s son Brandon also faces a difficult decision that could destroy his dreams of a future playing the piano. THE FOSTERS are back – the most unusual patchwork family in the history of television, with stories that are true to life, full of emotions, and rife with new, tough problems to overcome. Teri Polo, known to many from the MEET THE FOCKERS comedies starring Ben Stiller, shines in the lead role. Co-produced by Jennifer Lopez, the drama series has won a number of accolades including the Television Critics Association Award.
