Kommissarin Lund: Das Verbrechen II

TV-Series | DK, SW, DE, NOR 2010 | 100' | German Version

Her colleagues in Copenhagen ask police detective Sarah Lund for help with their investigation of a complicated case. Lawyer Anne Dragsholm was brutally killed by 21 stabs with a knife, and her body was found ten days ago. In a video recorded shortly before her death, she reads out a message to the Danish people that vows revenge for the Muslims killed in Afghanistan, Palestine and Iraq. Three minutes after Ramadan has ended, that video is sent to Denmark’s new Attorney General, Thomas Buch. The police pursue different leads, but Sarah Lund soon has serious doubts whether Islamic fundamentalists really are behind the killing. She finds out that, just prior to Dragholm’s death, the specialist in martial law had been pressing for the resolution of a highly sensitive case. The sequel to the successful series, episode 1 to be broadcast by ZDF on 24.10.10, 22.00. At Monte Carlo’s TV festival, Piv Bernth was awarded the Golden Nymph as the best European Producer for THE KILLING II.
